Finding Your Way Around

A quick tour of the AVADO Admin: the sidebar, the box details at the bottom, themes, Simple and Advanced mode, and search.

You manage your AVADO from the AVADO Admin, a web page that runs on the box itself. Open it in your browser at http://my.ava.do while you are connected to your AVADO (through its Wi-Fi, your home network or Remote Connect).

Links to ava.do addresses on your box start with http://, not https://.

The sidebar on the left takes you to every part of the Admin:

The page The Home Page and Menus walks through each of them.

The box panel at the bottom of the sidebar

At the bottom of the sidebar is a small panel for your box:

  • Your box name (for example "AVADO"). Click it to see the box details: Box name, External IP, Internal IP and Node ID. Click the box name in there to rename your AVADO. The name is only for display and does not change any network settings.

  • Theme: choose Light, Dark or Match computer (follows your computer's or phone's setting).

  • Mode: choose Simple or Advanced. See Simple and Advanced mode.

  • Version: the version of the Admin you are running.

The box details pop-up showing box name, external IP, internal IP and Node ID
Click your box name to see its External IP, Internal IP and Node ID.

External IP is your home network's address on the internet. Internal IP is the address your router gave your AVADO on your home network. You need the internal IP when you open network ports on your router. The Node ID identifies your AVADO, for example for Priority Care.

Search or jump to (⌘K)

The Search or jump to… box at the top right finds anything in the Admin. Click it, or press ⌘K on a Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux, or /. Then start typing. You can search for:

  • Pages, such as Home, DappStore, Updates or Storage

  • Your apps, to jump straight to an installed app

  • DappStore apps you can install

  • Help topics, such as "Missed attestations"

  • Actions, such as downloading the diagnostics report, or (in Advanced mode) restarting an app

  • Settings, such as switching theme or switching between Simple and Advanced mode

Use the arrow keys and Enter to choose, or Esc to close.

The bell icon next to the search box shows your notifications.

On a phone

The Admin also works on a phone. The sidebar folds away behind the menu button (☰) at the top left, and the page stacks into one column.
