# Help and troubleshooting in the Admin

The Help page in the AVADO Admin: troubleshooting topics, the diagnostics report for support, and where to ask for help.

When something isn't right, start with **Help** in the sidebar. It groups common problems into topics, shows which topics have a problem on your AVADO right now, and helps you contact support.

You can also reach it at <http://my.ava.do/#/troubleshoot>, or from **See all** under the verdict on Home.

## Topics

Each topic card has a coloured dot: **green** means no problems were found for that topic, **red** or **amber** means something needs a look. Click a card to open the topic. It lists the problems found on your AVADO for that topic, each with its fix button, followed by step-by-step advice.

| Topic | When to use it | What it walks you through |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Validator setup** | Choosing clients, importing keys, fee recipient. | Install an execution and a consensus client for the same network (with a link to **Staking setup**), import your validator keys in your consensus client's **Setup** tab, set your fee recipient, then check Home. |
| **Not syncing or not working** | An app is stopped, restarting, or behind the chain. | Look at the problems listed, read the app's logs, restart the app, and check disk space and peers. |
| **Missed attestations** | Rewards lower than expected, or attestations missed. | Install monitoring, make sure both clients are synced, check peers and ports, and check that the box clock is right (reboot after a power cut if needed). |
| **Updates and versions** | An update didn't install, or you're not sure what version you run. | See what can be updated in **System → Updates**, keep automatic updates on for clients, and what to do if an update seems stuck. |
| **Access and network** | Can't reach my.ava.do, Wi-Fi, Remote Connect, ports. | Reach your AVADO at home, open the peer-to-peer ports (UPnP or port forwarding), and reach it from away with Remote Connect. |
| **Disk space** | Disk almost full, or an app uses a lot of space. | See what uses the space in **System → Storage**, clean up unused images, and shrink an execution client safely. |

{% hint style="danger" %}
Import each validator key on **one machine only**. Running the same key on two machines gets you slashed.

For a full list of the problems the Admin can detect, see [Health checks explained](/your-avado/finding-your-way-around/health-checks-explained.md).

## Search

Press **⌘K** (Mac) or **Ctrl+K** (Windows, Linux), or click **Search or jump to…** at the top, and type what you are looking for, for example "attestations" or "disk". Help topics show up under **Help** in the results. See [Finding Your Way Around](/your-avado/finding-your-way-around.md).

## Diagnostics report

The **Diagnostics report** is a plain-text summary of your AVADO's health, versions, apps and recent activity. It helps support understand your problem quickly. It never includes environment values, keys, logs or your public IP. Click **Show what's in it** to read it before you share it.

* **Download report** saves it as a file.
* **Copy report** copies it, so you can paste it into an email or a support ticket.
* **Email support** opens a new email to the AVADO team with the report filled in.

## Community and support

At the bottom of Help you find links to these docs and to AVADO's YouTube tutorials, plus community links.

If you can't solve the problem yourself:

* Ask in the [AVADO Discord](/your-avado/avado-support-community.md), in the public channels, or open a ticket there.
* Email **<support@ava.do>** with your diagnostics report.
* [Priority Care](/your-avado/avado-support-community/priority-support.md) subscribers get faster, dedicated help, with a reply within 24 hours on business days (8 business hours when their box is down), and email alerts when their box goes offline or has a serious problem.

{% hint style="danger" %}
AVADO will **never** contact you first through private messages, and will never ask for your seed phrase or keys. See [Beware of Scammers](/your-avado/avado-support-community/beware-of-scammers.md).
